Apoptosis

4.01.2023

- Apoptosis is a form of programmed cell death that occurs in multicellular organisms. Biochemical events leads to characteristic cell changes and death -

Life is an unstable state and so destruction is encoded

Parts of a person die throughout their life

Be it through apoptosis(falling off), autophagy(self-devoring) or necrosis(death)

There is a metaphor in all these defination

Of how a body dies before it is dead

Of diseases that eat away and spread throughout the self

Of slow shutdown in important functions

Of blows and knives that ruin delicate systems

Need for continuity while on a quest to annihilation

It is estimated that the average adult human loses between 50 and 70 billion cells each day due to Apoptosis.

Life is unstable and destruction is encoded

And so, it is a brief beautiful moment in time

Refection

This poem is about the temporariness, as everything just goes. Life is a brief moment between the eternity that is non-existance, I'll have been here and than I'll be gone and there are so many things in the world that could bring it sooner. I am scared and amazed at that fact.
